flippable, sustainable artificial grass

what is it?

There will be a new kind of artificial turf in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. This field can turn and become a basketball court and also a field with solar panels. Well how cool is that? It will be the first one in the world. the turnable surfaces can change sides 24 hours a day. the sports field has been tested the whole year and is now ready to use.

why is it cool?

The field is very sustainable because of its ability to provide energy for itself. It also doesn’t take as much land as 3 fields separated from each other would do. the field also filters the air. So it has many new functions and possibilities that weren’t there before.

why has it future growth potential?

For the future the soccer field brings many possibilities. The land will be fully used and there will be energy generated that’s green and helps the city to be ecological. It’s also good for the health of people. Because the inhabitants can work-out and play on this ground, there will be less obesity than when there is no place to sport. The sports ground causes that the quality of life of people will be higher because they can have fun, but also can work-out and be fitter and healthier in life.
